SMART Goal

Specific
Measure
Action
Reasonable
Timely

Goal: To pass the exit level TAKS

Specific: Study more
Get better in subjects that are going to be tested
Take past exams to prepare myself for the real test

Measurable: To get my results when I get the TAKS scores and see if I passed

Action: To study on certain days on the subjects that will be tested.
Go to tutoring with teachers to help me on subjects that I might struggle with on the test.
Also on my own time to take the test from last year and the past years and see how well I do on them so I can ask for help with things that are going to be tested

Reasonable: I do fairly well on my TAKS tests

Timely: Study certain days of the week and go to tutoring on specific days of the week

My SMART goal is to study more to achieve my goal of passing the exit level TAKS. To prepare myself for the test I will study more and go to tutoring to help me pass the test. I will also take past tests so I know what might be on the test to better myself in those subjects. Even though I don't do that well on my TAKS I can do better and maybe get commended. I will study on certain days of the week and also go to tutoring on other days so I can help myself prepare for this test. All of this will help me so that I can pass the test and that I can do better than my past tests.

Problems & Timeline

Problems

1. We get stuck working out a problem we encountered and we will loose a day of not getting the plan we had done.
Solution: We do double the work the next day to finish what we had planned the day before and the day that we had planned on the timeline, or we could also come in before school or after school to catch up on the work.

2. Time
Solution: To stay on task, not get distracted and to have time management.

3. Having glitches in the animation
Solution: Making sure the animation flows properly and the change from each scene flows smoothly and there are no glitches.

Timeline:

Day 1: Develop the background for the different scenes and develop the first scene. Also create text that says spring and put it on the stage.

Day 2: Develop the symbols for the second and third scene and complete the second and third scene.

Day 3: Develop the fourth scene of the animation.

Day 4: Create symbols for each petal and complete the fifth scene. Create text that says summer and create a motion tween that moves it on to the stage

Day 5: Create the sixth scene and make the flower grow larger.

Day 6: Create the seventh scene and create a motion tween that moves one of the petals to the flower to make it look as if it was falling. Create text that says fall and create a motion tween so that it moves on to the stage.

Day 7: Develop the eighth scene and create motion tweens that make more of the petals fall and create a motion tween that also makes snow falling from the clouds.

Day 8: Develop the last scene and make all the remaining petals fall leaving only the stem and create a motion tween that keeps the snow falling from the sky. Also we will create text that says winter and make a motion tween that makes it move onto the stage.

What Would You Create?

The animation I would like to create would be about a game of dodgeball between kids. I would probably make some of the kids fall down during the animation. If I didn't do that I would probably do something about Christmas and the Christmas season. I would do an animation about a snowman or something of that sort.

What I Learned Today

Today I learned how to make the character a movie clip. Another thing I learned was how to publish preview to make an html so it can be seen on the internet. I also learned how to change the authortime to runtime.

Three things I will do to my animation are making my panda bear's arms move by making a movie clip. I can make the panda bear move by adding a motion tween and I can also publish it so that if I wanted to I could play with it on the internet.

Bone Skeleton

I learned how to create a person out of bone structure and how to connect the parts. I also learned how to make the person move. I also learned that next time I create a person I need to overlap the arms and one of the legs. In my animation the arms and one of the legs came apart because I didn't overlap them. By learning this next time my animation will be better cause it will overlap and they won't come apart from the body when the animation plays.

New Seating Chart

What I Can Gain
I can gain more social skills from this. I used to only talk to the people I would sit next to and this will make me talk to different people.

What I Can Give
I can help the people around me that may have trouble in their work. I can also help them gain knowledge in what we are learning or about Flash.
